Honda Accord - Sound Design

Compared to my last project (the Cupra spot), this edit left a lot more room to breathe for a much different mood overall. With wrestling superstar John Cena on the VO and a super preppy/jammy music track to work with, I focused on bringing those out and keeping them distinct yet nonconflicting. Sidechain compressing everything with the VO track did a lot for its clarity, and I spent extra time doing live-passes to automate gain adjustments for each subgroup (VO, car sounds, SFX, music, background). This spot is relatively light on sound design, though I was able to have some fun in the second half, including lots of my own sounds once we warp through the portal.
